2. Cooldown Recovery and Trigger Cap
In PoE 2, CoC’s internal cooldown means you can only trigger a spell roughly 6.67 times per second unless you invest in Cooldown Recovery Rate (CDR).
0% CDR: 150ms cooldown (max 6.67 triggers/sec).
14%+ CDR: Lowers the cooldown to ~132ms (~7.58 triggers/sec).
52%+ CDR: Lowers it to ~114ms (~8.77 triggers/sec).
Why This Matters:
If your attack speed is too high (e.g., 10+ attacks/sec), you’ll waste potential triggers due to Path of exile currency hitting the cooldown cap.
If your attack speed is too low, you’re not maximizing the trigger rate.
Ideal Setup: Aim to match your attack rate to POE currency for sale your CoC trigger rate. For example, if you have 14% CDR, you want your attack to be around 7.5 attacks per second for maximum efficiency.
